I used to own a hamburger store. It was in a mall food court. I bought it from the previous owner who earned a respectable income from it but was more interested in his other businesses. 

At the time I bought it, the prices were extremely high. One small burger cost $8 to $10. At McDonald's, the same type of burger would cost $3 or $4. Some people who worked in the mall came by to meet me and mentioned they thought the prices were way too high. As the new owner, the first change I made was to lower prices, by more than half. I also brought in higher-quality food and changed the menu up. However, I overlooked one key aspect of this business: volume was low.

The mall at that time was not busy. The stores were not big brands. Not many people visited the mall. Therefore, there were few customers on a day-to-day basis. This accounted for the high prices that the owner set previously. He needed to set high prices to earn something from the business.

When I lowered prices, all I did was lower my revenue. Lower prices didn't entice more people to buy from me. At the end of the first year I sold the business to someone else. I sabotaged the business by thinking lower prices were better for customers. This was a huge mistake.

Some businesses are built around offering low prices. Walmart and McDonald's are two examples. But not all businesses should operate this way. In fact, if you put out a good product and have good service, you should charge a premium for it, especially if you have a physical location in as low part of town with fewer customers coming by. 

The perfect price is your ultimate weapon as a business owner. When you find the perfect price for your product or service, one that customers are willing to pay and earn you high profits, you have found the ultimate key to success.

I study English in the morning by myself. 

Then I have class at night. I do this five days a week.

I mostly work in the morning then study in the afternoon. 

I think it's good to have a set study time each day. 

But it's also good to mix up the way you study. 

For example, I will watch American TV shows and practice speaking the way the actors speak. 

Or I'll read an English book to practice reading. 

It all depends on what I'm in the mood for.

I use my cellphone a lot. It's very convenient. I can also take it anywhere I go.

I prefer my cellphone, since I can take it anywhere and because it has all of my pictures on it. 

I can send photos easily and use other convenient apps like payment apps, navigation, etc.

Personally, I use my computer more than my cellphone. 

I've found phones to be very distracting in my day-to-day life. 

So whenever I really need to get work done, I use my computer, and try only to use my phone in cases of absolute importance.

There's a business book called Built to Last in which the author, Jim Collins, describes what a BHAG is. A BHAG is a big, hairy, audacious goal. It is a really big goal that business leaders dream up and communicate to their team. 

They strive toward it every day. A BHAG must be:

If a BHAG has these qualities, then your company has a clear goal to strive for. 

BHAG's drive innovation and keep employees focused on the end goal. 

Everyone rallies around the BHAG to create something new, exciting, and monumental. It must be ambitious enough to spark everyone's creativity and motivation, but not so unattainable that it can never be reached. It should stretch people out of their comfort zones into a new, unfamiliar way of working so your company can progress further into the future.
